Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients List

• 200g plain flour
• 100g butter
• 50g sugar
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 150ml double cream
• 200g strawberries
• 2 tbsp icing sugar

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 180C (350F).
2. Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder. Rub in butter until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add cream and form into a dough.
3. Roll out the dough and cut into circles. Bake for 15 minutes.
4. Whip double cream with icing sugar.
5. Slice strawberries and serve the shortcakes topped with cream and strawberries.
